Over the last 20 years I have gained an eclectic collection of experience in music, community organizing, traveling, and performing.
My formal training is in contemporary classical music. My self-guided study and study with private teachers focuses on composing for film, TV, video games, and other media, electronic music production, and sound effects.
But composers are not just our technical skills and training. We are also story tellers.
The people I have met as a community organizer, through my travels, and from living and performing in Milwaukee have been a source of great inspiration in my music and have had a big impact on how I tell stories when I sit down to compose today.
I have had the honor to collaborate with local dancers, film makers, and musicians and have written music for theatrical productions of Stop Kiss, Who?s Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, and Twelfth Night, the film Lonesome, and for the documentary series I Am The T.
