For the most part this program was my introduction to filmmaking. I could not think of a better way to get started doing what I love. The faculty gave me the freedom to make my own movie, while helping me with my questions and guiding me through my mistakes. My final project is something I can be proud of and the experience that I've gained will propel me into the professional film world.

"I attended I.N.F.I.N.Y. in the summer of 2002. I can honestly say that it was one of the best experiences I ever had. The people that run the school are professional without being pedantic; knowledgeable without being arrogant, and most of all, just really great folk who love to teach. From the moment I arrived to the day I left, I was treated with respect, humility and kindness. However, most of all - I learned! I was a keen film buff with, what I thought was, a rough idea for making movies - I'd acted a little and done a wee bit here and there, but not too much. I left there knowing that, although I was a pretty good writer - in fact, by far the best in the class ;-) - I'd actually known very little about film making. The experience, if you are willing to work hard and listen carefully, is invaluable. If you're serious about becoming a filmmaker, THEN THIS COURSE WILL DEFINITELY HELP YOU. Since last year, I've went on to work for international film companies, write and direct my own documentary and I'm currently in pre-prod for my fifth fiction piece. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the finished article. But I.N.F.I.N.Y. laid the foundations that have given me a fantastic chance to make films for a living. My advice would be to go. I'm confident you won't regret it. "

We pride ourselves in making sure that every single student leaves the program with a completed short film. We are a school that teaches how to write and direct a movie along with the technical side. That is what we feel separates us from the pack. In order to make a movie you have to know how to tell a story first.
