This is just "Awfull Institute". I guess it's not SAE's fault - it's just Malaysians don't know how to teach. They are not punctual to class and they don't teach well. The only thing is the equipment they have is good, but the fees are expensive as hell. If you're looking for quality education then this is not the place you should look at.

"I think SAE is based on exploitation of people's aspirations and dreams of getting a career as a filmmaker or audio-engineer. I guess that can be said of all film schools but incidentally SAE uses only miniDV (read: amateur) equipment. Nothing you will learn will make you a true video professional. I studied in India, Chennai and I guess like Malaysia they fall under Singapore orders. It's really not worth the money. And if the astronomical fees are not enough already they won't stop at that. Late submissions, re-tests are all fined some serious amount. They are very unorganized and un-professional. In Chennai it was run like some local paan-shop... Fortunately for new students they moved to a posher building somwhere around 2006 but that still doesn't give them better equipment to be taught on."

I was a former SAE Student. This is my 2 cents. I had a wonderful experience studying at SAE. The teaching staffs are friendly and highly experienced in the industry. I gained a lot of experience studying under them, they are so supportive! They are more than willing to assist during assignments and when you have any questions. I also was able to work on industry projects while still a student because of SAE's reputation in the industry. All I can say is that SAE is a great place to study any media related studies and it always depends on an individual's effort. The possibilities are there it only depends if the student wants to take it or not.
