The former student obviously attended a long time ago, the school is now equipped with non-linear equipment such as Vegas, Premier and Avid. Most of the teachers are excellent and they all currently work in the industry. If you put in the effort you will be recognised and recommended for "real" work in the industry.

This school does not cater for your film intrests, it is a Diploma Based course and a up front payment is needed before you start this course. From this they care more about getting money off you than teaching you the real material... think twice before applying!

I find this course patchy and very dependent on the lecturers. It's a great place to network but in terms of actual skills teaching its a bit disappointing. For example, Avid lecturers don't know or use Avid and spent whole course telling us how much better FCP is (which the school doesn't have so why tell us?). Some lecturers are fantastic (look for Skev, Malcolm or Renee) - so find out about the lecturer from other students before you enrol in a subject.

"One of the best things about the school is all the hands-on training you get - much more than you get at the big universities. The lecturers and staff also go out of their way to hook you up with paid work in the industry through their own networks and contacts. Because it's small and personal they can do that. Lots of former students in the past few years have gone on to work on things like Harry Potter, King Kong, Australia etc..."

I met some amazing students at this school, and a couple of the lecturers I now consider friends. When I attended we learnt how to make something pretty good, out of not much.

Good location, close to amenities and train/bus. Thats the only positives. The staff here used to work at qpix film school, which was notorious for being really toxic, and for some stupid reason this school have brought them here. Nasty sexist and racist environment. Dont go here if youre Ethnic or Female or Gay.
