The Zion Independent Film Festival and Movie Camp organization hosts this film festival at the entrance to Zion National Park, showing more than 70 films last year including outdoor screenings. Special programs include films for Seniors, Latin American, Native Americans and Young Filmmakers.
All genres are accepted with categories in Narrative films, Documentaries, ANIMATION, and Experimental with three experimental films honored as audience favorite shorts in 2005.
Last year the Grand Jury prize went to the feature films Self-Medicated and Spirit Riders. Audience Choice went to the Italian film My Brother’s Summer and to the documentary Citizen Tanouye.
