INDIE FILMMAKERS … do you have an awesome film? Winter Film Awards seeks outstanding Indie Films in all genres from around the world to showcase at our 5th Annual Indie Film Fest, Feb 24-27 2016 in NYC. Feature-length, shorts, horror, animation, documentaries, web series and music videos welcome!
For our 2015 Festival, 76 truly fantastic films from 29 countries were selected for screening, including 34 by female directors, 45% by POC and 20 student films; 75% had a budget under $50k. Works of all genres, forms, and lengths are considered for Festival screening. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot, and we don’t care about how big your budget was, whether you got a bunch of celebrities or which important people you know — all we care about is whether your film is awesome!
Outstanding work will be awarded for each category, along with Best Director, Best Actor/Actress, Best Original Score, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Student Film and the NY PERSPECTIVES Award for best depiction of the New York multi-cultural experience. Over $30k in prizes will be awarded to category winners!
