Description

Developed by the Video Software Dealers Association, the Filmmaker Program bridges the gap between independent filmmakers and distribution. Held within the VSDA’s Home Entertainment Event, it gives Filmmakers access to thousands of industry leaders from distributors to studio execs to retailers.

The main spotlights of the Filmmaker Program are the Seminars and Showcases. The Filmmaker Seminars gather the leaders members of the video industry to inform and educate you on what it takes to get your distributed. The Showcases allow buyers and retailers to view your film or trailer in its entirety.

At the Filmmaker Marketplace, filmmakers have an opportunity to meet and network with retailers, acquisition executives and distributors directly. All of them are looking for new films. This is your chance to speak directly to them.

The most powerful component of the program is the Filmmaker Program Catalog. Every year, the catalog is handed out to every one of the show’s attendees and becomes the most sought after handout. Every page is packed full of information – an opportunity that no filmmaker should miss.
