2011 marks the first annual “DARK COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL,” and the world’s first film festival devoted exclusively to the dark comedy genre. the festival will be a three day event in november 2011, held in los angeles*, ca, showcasing our finest selections of features, shorts, student shorts, and screenplays. additionally, the event will feature filmmaking and writing workshops, seminars, guest speakers, opening and closing night ceremonies, dark comedy-themed art galleries, unique raffles/prizes/giveaways, and more.
we are excited to finally be holding a festival which should have been established so very long ago.
*specifically, in Westwood Village – a diverse and charming little village, (located right next door to the UCLA campus), and often referred to as “the movie premiere capital of the world”
