The Filmmakers Project is designed to bridge the gap between aspiring like minded filmmakers and actors in order to mingle, connect and network with top industry personnel in a relaxed environment. Imagine being in the same room with the associate producer of “Marley & Meâ€ or the production coordinator from “Gossip Girlâ€ in a setting where having a simple conversation at the bar can lead to your next big career opportunity. It’s that real. More importantly than meeting people that can open doors for you—meet people just like you. The up and comers. The next generation. See what you can come up with when you put your heads together. It’s that simple!

Attending this event ensures you the chance to meet executives and film pros that represent some of the biggest names in the business—where students in need of internships or independents looking to build contacts can be at ease while mixing business with an awesome lounging experience.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Producers that are currently casting and crewing up for shorts, TV series and even features will be in attendance. We encourage all attendees to bring resumes, headshots, scripts, business cards or any other paraphernalia you deem necessary for an industry expo.

WHO CAN I EXPECT TO RUN INTO?

Press and business reps from the most recognizable entities in the industry have been cordially invited and will be in attendance with complimentary admission. Creative Artists Agency, William Morris/Endeavor, HBO, MTV, Innovative Artists, Silvercup Studios…some of which will be accepting headshots, resumes, etc.

WHAT ELSE WILL BE GOING ON HERE?

Besides exchanging contact information with dozens of filmmakers, the industry expo will feature many other activities and amenities including: Open champagne and tequila, movie trivia with prizes, etc.

–So forget the tight collars, uncomfortable shoes and awkward introductions like other filmmaker networking events around the city. Here? We’ll have a couple drinks, conduct some business…and having fun in between.

The film industry is a huge place! Don’t go about it all alone!
