Every spring, in the heart of downtown Toronto, ReelWorld brings together filmmakers, cineastes, industry professionals, and local and international media for five days of world-class cinema.
Touted as the Sundance of Canada, ReelWorld Film Festival (RWFF) founded by Actress Tonya Lee Williams, has become the portal for emerging Canadian filmmakers, in particular those of Aboriginal, Asian, Black, Latino, South Asian, and multi-racial descent. It is the only festival to capture the essence of multicultural and multi-ethnic tapestry.

The festival was established in response to the need for increased representation of Canada’s mosaic of races and cultures in film, video and new media. RWFF embodies the true spirit of multiculturalism by encouraging the sharing of stories across cultures and creeds.
The success of ReelWorld has garnered one of only two film festival seats on the Toronto Film Board. ReelWorld has proven it is here to stay!
Screenings & Panels
All regular screenings and Industry Series panels are at the Cineplex Odeon Carlton Cinema, located at 20 Carlton Street, just steps away from the College Street Subway. Opening & Closing Night screenings will take place at the state-of-the-art Scotiabank Theatre, at the corner of Richmond Street West & John Street
