Description

2014 Temecula Valley International Film and Music Festival

After a two year hiatus, the Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival is set to return September 17-21, 2014 at various venues in Temecula Valley

For this re-launch, TVIFF has made major changes to the event management, production team, approach and content. The goal is to expand on its good standing within the international festival circuit by re-branding the 2014 Temecula Valley International Film & Music Festival as a prime destination event.

For over a decade, the festival has brought international focus and attention to the valley.
In 2014, the re-structured TVIFF will take this worldwide focus and attention to a higher level.

We are bringing back to the City of Temecula a premier world class signature cultural, educational and entertainment film and music event which, with full support by our marketing partner, Temecula Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau and our new management and operations partner, Deaf West Theatre Inc., will strengthen our combined abilities to promote the features and benefits of the Temecula brand throughout the world.

Our new partner, Deaf West Theatre, Inc.
As the only deaf-run Arts organization west of the Mississippi, Deaf West Theatre has been filling the void and directly enhancing the cultural lives of millions of deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) individuals in California and around the USA. Deaf West presents stage productions that include musicals, and trains its artists and technicians to attain gainful employment in theater, film and television.

Deaf West and TVIFF will work together to reach new deaf, hard of hearing and hearing audiences to enjoy enhanced cinematic and music experiences with simultaneous interpretation in American Sign Language (ASL).

Overview of 2014 TVIFF Programs
TVIFF is deeply rooted in the strongest and finest traditions of appreciation of film and music as art forms and as meaningful agents for social change.

TVIFF features a diverse array of narrative feature films, live action and animated shorts, documentaries, student films, foreign films and a variety of new digital media, as well as a great lineup of industry panels and seminars, marketplace, tributes, retrospectives, film/music youth education and special programs, and star studded red carpet events.

What Sets Us Apart?

First, our independent filmmaker and music artist slant.
Competition for recognition and exposure for independent talent is fierce.
TVIFF was established and has remained for 17 years to be a true advocate and accessible home for independent film and music artists. We have built a genuine networking hub for filmmakers and music artists and for industry people to mingle, network, party and do business in an awesome, accessible, unpretentious and most relaxing atmosphere of Southern California’s premiere wine country, Temecula.

Another is our eclectic Film and Music Programming

TVIFF has always celebrated artistic expression and welcomed a diversity of visions, sounds and viewpoints, with cinematic and music excellence as the overriding principle guiding our selection of films, music artists and awards gala honorees

We do not cater to one particular genre. So long as the film tells a good story and the music tugs at the heart of our audience, we are in. We offer in the best way possible a little something of everything for everybody.

The Film Program

Since 1995, the festival has screened over 1,500 films from 20+ countries.

Programming TVIFF has been about creativity, diversity and excellence.
Whether its a documentary about the world’s fascination with the Honey Boo Boos of the world or a short comedy about seniors and internet dating or learning to speak Russian or a feature film on human trafficking, the films screened at TVIFF represent how diverse, funny, terrifying and incredible our world is, was and/or has become. TVIFF will continue to introduce audiences to the most exciting, innovative and accomplished works of world cinema

Categories showcased are U.S. and International narrative features, live action and animated shorts, student films and documentaries. Special sections will include retrospective screenings, spotlights on emerging filmmakers and area youth/student filmmakers.

(3) to expand MusicFest to be the premier global stage for artists seeking to promote their latest works and
(4) Feature programming from industry notables, artist-focused workshops, meet ups, mentoring / pitch sessions and world-class performances.
