The Talca International Short Film Festival aims to offer a selection of the best independent, innovative and experimental short films from around the world. On the other hand contribute to the exchange of local and international stories in this globalised world where ideas and culture break the borders for the benefit of all of us.
The 10th TALCA INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL (FICTalca) will be held in the city of Talca in Chile, from 7 to January 11, 2014. May participate in competition, short films produced in Chile and abroad, premiered no earlier than October 2012.
The festival will feature the following sections:
– National Competition
– International Competition
– Maule Regional Competition
1. General Requirements
a) The short films must not have been released prior to October 1, 2012.
b) The films must have a maximum duration of 30 minutes, including credits.
c) Entries must not have been submitted to previous versions of the festival.
d) Works with dialogues in other language than Spanish, can APPLY with Spanish or English subtitles. The producer of a work in selection must serve an EXHIBITION COPY WITH SPANISH SUBTITLES.
2. Requirements by category
a) National competition: works of fiction, made by Chilean filmmakers living in Chile.
b) International competition: works of fiction, made by filmmakers of any nationality, living in Chile and abroad.
c) Maule Regional competition: works of fiction, video art, documentary and animation, made by resident filmmakers in the Maule Region, Chile.
