Taiwan International Children’s TV & Film Festival (TICTFF) is a bi-annual film festival founded by PTS (Public Television Service Foundation) since 2004. It is one of the first competitive TV and film festivals in Asia fully dedicated for children. This 5-day festival features various “Screening Sessionsâ€ for all types of children programming, “Kids as Directorsâ€ workshops, “Playgroundâ€, “Theme Countriesâ€ and most of all, “International Competitionâ€ awarding cash prizes for Best Dramatic Feature, Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best TV Program and Special Jury Award.
Taiwan Award is created to encourage the endeavor of the local filmmakers.

Heading into the 3rd edition, TICTFF will be held on April 4 – 8 in 2008. Again it would like to promote quality children programming worldwide and let the young participants play and learn. The main theme will be “Magic Changesâ€. One of the festival’s most important activity is â€ Kids as Directorsâ€. The pre-festival workshop will assist children from ten local elementary schools to produce their respective short programs. The completed works will also be screened during the festival. One of them will receive the Children’s Jury Award.
