The 2ND Annual Silicon Valley Film Festival will take place in the heart of Silicon Valley in California on October 1 and 2, 2011.

With the vision for ‘Tomorrow’s World’, Silicon Valley takes part in laying down the foundation of digital filmmaking and digital media, including the Big Four A’s (Adobe, Apple, Avid, and Auto Desk). In the heart of Silicon Valley, the Hi-Tech community is celebrating the spirit of Silicon Valley by promoting digital cinema and giving international filmmakers a venue to showcase their work, participate in workshops and to network with fellow filmmakers, media companies, producers and distributors.

2011 Silicon Valley Film Festival will have 8 Award Categories.

· Best Short FilmBest Animation
· Best Documentary
· Best Music Video
· Best Vision of the Future – Awarded to a film that has the most possible vision of the future.
· Best Innovation & Entrepreneurship – Awarded to a film that emphasizes, inspires and promotes innovation and entrepreneurship.
· Best Green earth – Awarded to a film that emphasizes a Green Earth.
· Best of the Festival – An Audience Award.

Top 3 films in every category will be honored as “SVFF Jury Nominated Films”. Judges will determine which category the film will compete in, and one film could be competing in more than one category.

All sub mitted films for consideration will receive a feedback with Judges’s comments. This is a service offered exclusively by the Silicon Valley Film Festival.

Regular Entry
Thursday, August 25th, 2011 – $45 ENTRY FEE

For filmmakers and students local to the greater San Francisco Bay Area (with proof of residency and student status): $30 ENTRY FEE (After Discount $10, WAB disc: $5)

Late Entry
Monday, September 5th, 2011 – $50 ENTRY FEE

For filmmakers and students local to the greater San Francisco Bay Area, with proof of residency and student status, you will receive a $10 discount for Late Entry submissions.

GENERAL DISCOUNTS:
· You will get a $15 discount if you submit at www.svfilmfestival.org with the code: SVFFSDNT
· Submissions from Japan, Egypt, Afghanistan and Libya will receive 50% discount on film submissions.

Premiere and Launch Pad Program
