shnit International Shortfilmfestival is a premier venue for the exhibition and promotion of short film. The festival is an exceptional event with a unique concept – a transnational film festival simultaneously taking place in ten PLAYGROUND cities on five continents worldwide. The tenth edition will take place from the 3th – 7th of October 2012.
shnit OPEN welcomes short films of all kinds of genres, stories and styles – and is therefore known for its unique diversity.
The chosen films will compete for the prize money of CHF 100,000 (approx. €85,000 / $110,000).
Jury awards: Category up to 5 minutes / up to 10 minutes / up to 20 minutes and up to 40 minutes
AUDIENCE AWARD: all films of «shnit OPEN 2012»
The Audience Award and all Categories include prize money of CHF 20,000 (~ € 16,000 ~ $ 22,000) each.
