Description

Young Film Academy is pleased to announce that we are running our inspirational week-long filmmaking school in Tuscany, Italy,
Building on the success of last year’s ‘La Dolce Vita’, this residential filmmaking course provides a unique opportunity for filmmakers and actors aged 16-19 to hone their skills and follow in the footsteps of cinema legends – shooting in some of the most beautiful cinematic landscapes on Earth.
N.B. No previous experience of filmmaking is necessary.

COURSE OVERVIEW
Students will learn hands-on filmmaking skills from our award-winning tutors and put them into action to write,
shoot, direct, act, and post-produce their own films set against the jaw-dropping beauty of the Tuscan Hills.
Students will work in teams to produce short films during the course. Students will be able to choose a
specialism (acting, camerawork, directing, editing etc), while also being encouraged to participate in a wide
variety of additional production roles.

During the course, students will sample the extraordinary artistic delights of nearby Florence with a day-
trip to one of the world’s great cultural capitals, taking in a passegiata stroll and an evening film
at the legendary Baroque cinema housed inside the Palazzo dello Strozzino.
Screenings of the students’ films will be held at the culmination of the course, while back in London there’ll be a West End Premiere at a top industry venue for friends and family, complete with drinks reception and Awards Ceremony.
Students receive 2 DVD copies of their films, complete with an exclusive Behind the Scenes special feature documenting this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
