ResFest 2005 –
The ResFest is a touring digital film festival brought to you by Res Magazine, one of the premier digital film magazines in the world. The tour will showcase the works of the most creative artists in the world, and will travel through North America, Europe and Asia. The featured works will include short films, music videos and animated films.
One unique new aspect of this year’s festival is the Artist Retrospective Program, spotlighting Beck, one of the most prolific musical performers in the world. Additionally, two different musical programs will highlight new videos from cutting edge artists, The Arcade Fire, The Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Bloc Party, and more. The festival will also be the arena for several special screenings of documentaries by the most daring directors in the genre, including the world premiere of Doug Pray’s documentary Infamy, chronicling the lives of notorious graffiti artists in major U.S. cities.
The tour will be blazing through New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago before heading to Europe. The events will include a unique mix of screenings, parties, workshops and live musical performances. More details are available at www.res.com.
