Porto7 is a Festival dedicated to Short-Films. Its target is to promote the production and exhibition of
short-films and to act as an intermediary among cultures and nationalities that participate in the
Festival. Porto7 is a cultural event open to producers, directors, students, enthusiastic and people that
enjoy the 7th art.
This Festival wants to be an exchanging place between artists, directors, audiovisual business
companies and audience, where different promotional activities will take place. (Films screening,
Parties, Opening and closing Ceremonies, Products presentations, etc.).
Competitive sections:
1. International Short-Film Competition – FICTION – Fiction short-films selected to this competitive
section.
2. International Short-Film Competition- ANIMATION – Animation short-films selected to this
competitive section.
3. VideoClip Competition – Musical videoclips selected to this competitive section
4. Porto7 National Short-Film Competition – FICTION – Portuguese Fiction short-films, selected to
this competitive section.
Non- Competitive Sections:
5. Short-Film Screening – Screening of contestant’s short-films that although they were not selected
to the competition sections, will be screened in this section.
6. Festival Partners short-Film Screening – Screening of short films from Porto7’s partner Festivals.
