It’s time to kick-start your brilliant career! Your idea could be made into a 13-episode program for prime-time broadcast on C31 Melbourne and Geelong, as well as online for multiplatform delivery.
OPEN CHANNEL is developing a new course aimed at entry-level practitioners entitled “Producing for Televisionâ€. This course runs for 15 weeks and offers a Certificate III in Screen qualification and will focus on digital filmmaking and live broadcast studio skills.
Students will pitch a program concept to the C31 Programming Team, C31 General Manager and OPEN CHANNEL Program Director. The successful pitch idea will be used for the series developed and produced during the course.
“Producing for Television†will be delivered by experienced TV Producers/Technicians from Melbourne’s broadcast community. The 15 week intensive will include planning, pre-production, production, copyright law, multi-camera switching, sound, lighting, post-production, programming, hosting and presenting, marketing and multiplatform delivery.
The course will provide an intensive, informative and hands-on learning environment for anyone interested in entering the television broadcast industry, particularly those keen to develop new programs that bridge current broadcast technologies with digital TV and the web.
