An Academy qualifier for short films, The Nashville Film Festival celebrated its 40th anniversary with record attendance in 2009 and begins another 40 years in 2010.
Founded in 1969 as the Sinking Creek Film Celebration, Nashville Film Festival (NaFF) is one of the longest-running film festivals in the country and one of the most acclaimed festivals in the South. Hosted at the state of the art Regal Green Hills Stadium 16 in Nashville, Tennessee, NaFF attracts enthusiastic film lovers from all across the country and has been praised by filmgoers and filmmakers alike for its unique combination of big city film festival atmosphere and laid back Southern hospitality. With over 200 films from 48 countries, numerous industry panels, music showcases, and multiple parties every night, the 2009 NaFF drew over 23,000 attendees (a 5% increase from 2008 and a more than 100% increase snce 2004).
