About our speakers:
Over the decades, Truett has worked with ESPN covering various sporting events and has produced stories for CNN International. He has played a key role in producing and directing literally thousands of hours of broadcast television that have aired globally. Truett has travelled to and directed production efforts in over 55 countries around the globe. During his extensive travels, Truett has coordinated productions where crowds were sometimes estimated at nearly a million spectators. Truett has the keen ability to cover live performances with precision and the intuition and experience to deal with challenges as they occur. Truett has a B.S. in Telecommunications, including a minor in marketing, and has written several articles concerning television production. Apart from being a “techy gear loverâ€, Truett is also a writer and has won various awards for short from videos he has written, produced and directed.
Malena started her career at the PTL Television Network in 1983, and since has created a career for herself on both sides of the camera. She has worked as on camera and voice over talent for variety of television programmes and commercials. Being a native of Lima, Peru, Malena is fluent in Spanish and English and is an excellent translator. Malena has garnered respect for her work as a veteran producer. Over the last several years she has produced hundreds of hours of programmes in languages as varied as Korean, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic and Farsi. She has also produced numerous television specials for the Public Broadcasting System in the United States. Melena is also an experienced camera operator, floor director and assistant director.
