Description

This is the second year of the Lakedance International Film Festival. In 2006, the festival was held under the name “Idaho Panhandle International Film Festival” and showcased fifty-five films from nine countries over five days during late August. The inaugural festival was a terrific success and will provide the platform for an even better 2007 festival, now called “Lakedance”.

As you have read on lakedance.com, the cornerstone of our festival is the celebration of quality and excellence above everything else. We want films that feature writing, directing, acting and cinematic skills for narrative selections and films with story and intrigue for documentaries.

Our quest is for narrative, animated, and documentary of all genres, except horror, that showcase talent and quality filmmaking, especially quality storytelling, not works that depend on special effects, budget level, or star powerÂ to carry the film. Besides horror films, we do not screen films with excessive violence or sexuality, nor do we accept films that are produced by or for any political organization

If you have a film – Narrative or Documentary – Short or Feature – of QUALITY STORYTELLING, our audience will want to see it September 12-16th of 2007.
