KISFVF is in its eighth year and since 1998 we have established it as Japan’s biggest and most influential student film festival. Our aim is to discover and screen gems of student films from every corner of the world that may shape the future of cinema. Last year we received well over376 films (about 204 of them were international submissions). With films from the competition winners being the centre of the festival, we are committed to set up a screening space where the audience can have a wonderful cinematic experience and meet and interact with as many people as possible.
