This April, award winning screenwriter and top Hollywood script doctor John Truby returns to Raindance for a week of in-depth and unique courses taught in Central London.
First, on Thursday 3 April from 7-9pm, Truby premieres his new course, Secrets Of Story (free to Raindance members, £10 for nonmembers,) in which he will reveal and reject the long-running Hollywood myths of Screenwriting.
Then, in an intensive seminar on 5/6 April from 9:30am to 6:30pm, Truby will teach his unique and indispensable 22 Step Story Structure (£250 + VAT, member discounts available.) This course, which rejects the traditional 3-act scriptwriting structure in favor a modern and exciting approach to storytelling, has over the last ten years become the most talked about screenwriting class in all of London.
Finally, over the evenings of 7/8 April from 6:30-10pm, Truby will hold the long-running Understanding Drama (£145 + VAT, member discounts available.) This course, which asserts that nearly all Hollywood scripts follow long established genre rules, will set out guidelines on how to interpret and master these different forms.
