International Festival of Ethnological Film was initiated in 1992 as a programme of moderate scope with a small number of films. Later it especially improved both in quality and the amount of the presented works.
The original idea of the Festival initiators was to show films which present folk tradition of the Balkan and Slavic nations and later it developed into International review of films par excellence.
