The ethnological (i.e. ethnographic or anthropological) film, as a kind of documentary film, deals with traditional, “folk” cultures, and the process of their changes and transformation in modern time, and increasingly phenomena of dynamic urban cultures. In addition to classical, strictly ethnological films, the Festival represents different film categories, from the experimental to feature films and documentary drama.
