HatcH is dedicated to empowering the next generation of filmmakers in the business of the arts by providing an unique networking environment with the industry’s top professionals and celebrities. HatcH is more than a festival, but an experience. Organizers will be scheduling 8 feature film premieres, 8 independent features as well as 40 student films from countries across the globe. Hatch will also showcase nearly 20 different musicians and bands to fill Main Street with live music during the six-day event. HatcH will also put on a series of panels and workshops hosted and conducted by industry professionals for filmmakers as well as the public. HatcH will close its festival with a red carpet award ceremony where the Hollywood stars share the stage with student filmmakers. Awards: Gary Cooper Spirit of Montana and a $25,000 award presented to one of the following: student filmmaker, artist, musician, or photographer. Awards in film also include: Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Direction, Best Screenplay. Films eligible: Student Films, Independent Features, Documentary Features, Native American Features & Shorts, and Shorts. HatcH is also accepting Screenplays for an intense six day screenwriter’s workshop.
