Grownupism!
1Day, When I Grow Up!
So as usual, I wuz sittin’ an’ stinkin’ ’bout evrythin’ an’ nothin’!
An’ as usual, the dragon-teecher is on my back as alwayz, botherin’ me ’bout sumthin’ or other?
She’s always givin’ me these kompliments loaded with nails inem!
She sez she likes my ideas, but my spellin’ is awful!
I mean, I’m only a kid, what does she expect?
My ideas are on the paper, so why do I have to spell so perfekt?
It’s the ideas that kount!
They got komputer’s to correct spellin’!
Man, it’s always sumthin’ – plus she sed she’d contact my perents if my spellin’ didn’t improve!
Mano, dragon-teechers are spies, tattle tales an’ slave drivers, all rolled into one!
Wut a kombination!
Sheda bin great in politics an’ stuff, ‘specially workin’ for ol’ Stetson Hat!’
As my father sez: “If it weren’t for bad luck, ol’ Stetson Hat wouldn’t have any luck at all! And what’s really bad about it, he likes to take a lot of people in the world with him on his bad luck trips! Boy, I hope the voters learned their lesson about choosing Hats more carefully in the future!”
Wow, I don’t think my papa likes ol’ Stetson Hat very much!
But hmmm, maybe I kin use his ideas for a dragon-teecher paper an’ that’ll sure help my grade an’ give me sum breathin’ room!
It’s almos’ holiday time an’ with a little luck, maybe we’ll getta reel big snowstorm an’ it’ll shut the skools for a lotta days!
Man, that’ll be great!
Plus, they culd save a lotta money on heatin’ all those big dull skool rooms!
Hmmm, maybe I shuld suggest closin’ the skools to save money on heatin’ oil?
The dragon-teecher will think I’m a humanetarien or sumthin’ helpful like that an’ I betcha she won’t catch on, that I reely wanna get me an’ my pardnurs outta those dungeon skools!
If I kin get this brilliant plan to work, kids all over the wurl’ll thank me – forever!
Man, am I smart!
All this smartness is makin’ me tired.

Erwachsensein!
Eines Tages, wenn ich erwachsen werde!
Also, wie üblich war ich am Sitz’n und Stink’n üba alles und nix!
Und wie üblich sitzt mir die Drachenlehrerin im Nacken, wie immer, und quält mich mit irgendwas oder was and’rem?
Sie macht mir immer diese Komplimente voll mit diesen Spitzen!
Sie sagt, ihr gefall’n meine Ideen, aber meine Rechtschreibung is’ grauenhaft!
Ich mein, ich bin nur ein Kind, was erwartet sie?
Meine Gedanken sind auffem Papier, also warum soll ich so perfekt buchstabier’n?
Sind doch die Ideen, die zähl’n!
Die hab’n doch Komputer fürs korrekte Buchstabier’n!
Mann, irgendwas is’ imma – und sie sagt, sie spricht mit mein’ Eltern, wenn meine Rechtschreibung sich nich’ vabessert!
Manno, Drachenlehrer sind Spione, Tratschtanten und Sklaventreiber, alles auf einma’!
Was ‘ne Kombi!
Sie wäre super inner Politik und so’n Zeugs, besonders, wenn sie für olle Texashut arbeit’n würde!
Wie mein Vater sagt: “Wenn es kein Unglück gäbe, hätte olle Texashut überhaupt kein Glück! Und was die Sache wirklich schlimm macht, ist, dass er gerne eine Menge Leute auf der Welt mit sich ins Unglück laufen lässt! Junge, ich hoffe, die Wähler haben ihre Lektion gelernt, in der Zukunft die Hüte sorgfältiger zu wählen!”
Wow, ich glaube, mein Papa mag olle Texashut nich’ besonders!
Aber, mmmh, vielleicht kann ich seine Gedanken für’n Drachenlehrerin-Aufsatz benutzen und das hilft bestimmt meiner Note und gibt mir Zeit zum Lufthol’n!
Is’ schon fast Ferjenzeit und mit ein bißchen Glück bekomm’ wir ‘n richtig großen Schneesturm und die Schulen werd’n für viele Tage geschloss’n!
Mann, das wär’ großartig!
Und sie könnt’n ‘ne Menge Geld an der Heizung für diese großen dämlichen Schulräume spar’n!
Mmmh, vielleicht sollte ich vorschlag’n, die Schule zu schließ’n, um Geld für Heizöl zu spar’n?
Die Drachenlehrerin wird denk’n, ich bin ein Humanitärer oder irgend sowas hilfreiches wie das, und ich wette, sie wird’s nich schnall’n, dass ich nur mich und meine Kumpels aus dieser Kerkerschule befrei’n will!
Wenn ich diesen brillianten Plan zum Lauf’n krieg’n kann, werd’n mir die Kinder auf der ganzen Welt dankbar sein – für immer!
Mann, bin ich klug!
Dieses ganze Klugsein macht mich müde.
