The First Commonwealth Johnstown Film Festival announces a call for entries for its sixth annual event, which is set for Jun. 15-18, 2011. Original short films of 30 minutes or less are eligible for the competition, and the entry deadline is Feb. 1, 2011.
Cash awards are given to the makers of the top three films and the best youth entry. The festival, which is produced by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association, is held at the Johnstown Flood Museum and Heritage Discovery Center.
Any original short film of 30 minutes or less is eligible for the competition. There is a $10 entry fee per film, and films of all genres will be accepted. All entries must be submitted on VHS or DVD, and will not be returned unless a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included with the submission.
