Sound for Independent Film
by Woody Woodhall of Allied Post Audio

Award winning sound designer, supervising sound editor and mixer, Woody Woodhall will discuss the importance of sound for independent features from production to post. His presentation of this often overlooked, yet critical topic will include tips for capturing clean audio during the production phase, sound management during the editing process, and the key concepts and tools that make up the final post audio stage, all leading to a more efficient and cost effective filmmaking experience. Many independent filmmakers have misconceptions about the audio process. So, in addition, budgeting, workflow and the necessary time commitment for this highly technical yet collaborative and creative process will be discussed. Woody will also answer questions about specific sound issues that participants may have regarding their own projects or experiences as time permits.
