FYI / FILM YOUR ISSUE
A national college film competition
in partnership with MICROSOFT and MTVu
DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2005
FYI / FILM YOUR ISSUE is an exciting national college competition inviting undergraduate students to create 30 to 60 second “issue films” on any issue of their choice, as a way to engage young people in public dialogue and activism.
Winners will be broadcast on MTVu and through the Microsoft and MSN partners, and be offered internships with such media entities as Miramax, Rhino Films, New Line and Film Society at Lincoln Center. Additionally, select finalists will be chosen by Robert Kennedy Jr., Bianca Jagger and other leaders to make brief films on their cause, which will be presented at the U.N. and on Microsoft’s MSN.
Partners in FYI / FILM YOUR ISSUE are Microsoft/ MSN VIDEO/ MTVu, as well as the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, the Association of American Colleges and Universities, Campus Compact and Imagining America.
The deadline for entries is May 1, 2005.
In March 2005, at a reception in Los Angeles co-hosted by Microsoft, finalists from Round One will be presented.
