Starting Sat 21st Feb in central Brighton, learn the nuts and bolts of WRITING, DIRECTING, PRODUCING, SHOOTING & SELLING FILMS in four intensive practical workshops over four consecutive Saturdays.
Covering both shorts and feature films, the two-hour workshops give you the essentials of no-to-low budget film-making and offer plenty of hands-on experience.
Running the workshops are the writer / director / producer team behind CREDO, an independent feature film that has just been released by a major Hollywood Studio.
Sat 21st Feb (10am – 12pm): So you want to make a movie?
Coming up with a concept that sells, how much money you need, how much could you make, juggling making movies with your day-job, finding a writer / director / producer and the essentials of writing a screenplay.
Sat 28th Feb (10am – 12pm): So you want to produce a movie?
Where to find finance, how to put together a budget and schedule, where to shoot, what crew you need and how to find them, how to attach cast, what kit you need, the legals and other production life-savers.
Sat 7th March (10am – 12pm): So you want to shoot a movie?
Storyboards, shot-lists, choice of shots, crossing the line, directing actors, working with the crew, practicals of camera, lights, grip & sound and coping with disasters on set.
Sat 14th March (10am – 12pm): So you want to sell a movie?
Editing, sound design, music, finishing the film, applying to festivals, marketing, creating a press kit, securing international distribution and making money!
Saturdays (10am-12pm): 21st Feb, 28th Feb, 7th March & 14th March.
