Festival L’Europe autour de l’Europe

The festival “L’Euorpe autour de l’Europe” is held every spring in Paris. It’s conceived around art films from Greater Europe (47 European countries, members of the Council of Europe).
During its month of screenings and other film-related events, 65 feature films and a selection of documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental films are presented all over Paris.
In a pilgrimage from well-known art house theaters to hidden galleries and foreign cultural centers, the audience discovers European cinematic masterpieces from all eras. A competition programme provides an opportunity to highlight the production of less-known European cinemas as well as major film-producing countries and every year retrospectives of renowned directors and tributes to national cinema are programmed. Side programs include round tables, book signings, conferences, concerts and special events with outstanding filmmakers, actors and critics.
Beside Paris, part of the programme is held throughout the year in regions of Normandy, Alsace, Pas-de-Calais and in an European city of choice.
Festival’s 8th edition will take place from 13 March to 14 April 2013.
