27 April – 4 May 2006, various East London venues
The East End Film Festival promises an explosive mix of this year’s most inspirational features, shorts and special events, all centred around the artistic hub of Europe – London’s East End. Expect to see the best of the UK’s hot young talent, plus some of the most established and skilled filmmakers coming together to promote independent cinema and the East End.
Richard E Grant will take on the role of Director in Residence and his directorial debut Wah-Wah will open the festival. Other treats in store include a Q&A with Producer in Residence, Stephen Woolley with a screening of The Crying Game, and a wealth of shorts, documentaries, animation, arts and music events bringing all eyes east.
