This two-day course will focus on how to guide actors to create the performances you want. It will offer an understanding into how actors work on a script to create character and the challenges they face when working on screen. We will specifically examine ways to keep a performance fresh, spontaneous and emotionally engaging. A series of practical exercises will provide tools for directing actors and diagnosing the quality of a performance. Using a combination of improvisation and text you will work with professional actors to explore and hone your skills.
