The Derby City Film Festival is committed to finding, showcasing, and celebrating creative cinema! Our goal is to compile yearly DVD compilations of exciting new short films and video, as well as showcasing independent talent and work online and in venues across the US. We want to give creativity a voice, filmmakers exposure, and film-going audiences the chance to see independent and exciting work from around the world.
The Derby City Film Festival is more than the average short film showcase; our events include networking producers, musicians, actors, artists, and awarding prizes and cash give-aways!
WE’VE JUST LAUNCHED OUR 2007 SHORT FILM COMPETITION!
The top 24 winning short films will be selected to showcase in a Louisville venue MAY 2007. Any genre accepted! All winning films will be made available on an independent DVD compilationset for national distribution. The selected films will be showcased in streaming form on www.derbycityfilmfest.com, and there is a $1,000 CASH PRIZE to the winner of “Best Short.†Go to our homepage and learn how to take part in this amazing competition.
