The 2nd Edition of the Cabo Verde International Film Festival (CVIFF) is taking place on the Island of Sal from October 13 – 16, 2011. The 2011 program promises creativity and entertainment through submitted films, special film screenings, the art of cinema workshops, cultural activities, comedy, improvised theater and much more. Entrance is free to all film screenings, workshops and cultural activities. For more info visit www.cviff.org or email info@cviff.org.
The initiative to organize the 1st edition of CVIFF in 2010 was inspired by the morabeza and enchanting landscapes of the island of Sal. A paradise in its own rights, Sal is the perfect backdrop for a film festival experience. Cabo Verde is an archipelago of ten small islands located in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 500km off the West Coast of Africa.
The mission of CVIFF is to bring together Art, Cinema, and Industry while creating a bazaar of exceptional global films and filmmakers.
