Bristol Encounters 0117 Hour Film Challenge
17 – 22 June

Presented by Bristol Film Office, Encounters Bristol International Film Festival and M Shed

To celebrate the opening of M Shed, the new museum of Bristol, we would like to invite filmmakers from all over the world between 17 – 22 June, to create a short film based in and focused on Bristol, in just 117 hours.

Brief:
– Each film must be inspired by a story, artefact or theme from the three galleries of M Shed museum; Bristol People, Bristol Places, Bristol Life.
– Filmmakers will have privileged access to M Shed between 10:00-12:00 on Frid 17 June to gather their inspiration and to meet the people who have contributed stories and objects to the museum.
– Filmmakers will have access to a range of free locations from Bristol Film Office, and a wealth of music from local musicians via SoundCloud.
– Supporting companies of the competition will also be offering exclusive discounts and advice to participating filmmakers.

Prize:
To be selected by a distinguished jury…
– £1,000 cash
– Screening of your film at M Shed as part of a celebratory event on 24 June
– Joining the city’s history and becoming a part of the museum’s collection
