For the past ten years, the festival has enlarged its frontiers and won an international position, having a contribution for it its particular sense, its independence and the living of great moments provided by inedited films in Portugal.
For the next three years, we will try to improve the quality of every edition.
AVANCA is the only festival in Portugal that congregates a cinema international competition, television and video works and new technologies of multimedia. Our aim is to bring to Portugal works from all over the world, but mainly from Europe, including those countries that have a low capacity of audiovisual production.
