The ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival is an event unique, innovative and with high international recognition. It is organized and promoted by APTUR – Portuguese Turismology Association and with the high patronage of the Municipality of Barcelos.
Held annually, the festival ART&TUR is a member of CIFFT – International Committee of Festivals Tourism Film, an organization based in Vienna, recognized by the World Tourism Organization for the turistic audiovisual sector. Is therefore part of a worldwide network of 15 international film festivals, and organizes annually in Vienna, the Festival of Festivals. Thus acquires a strong international nature and becomes a important instrument promoting the excellency of audiovisual productions related to tourism.
In 2012 will go to its fifth edition, in its fourth edition in 2011 counted with the entry of 287 films from 39 countries establishing itself as one of the largest film festivals in the world of tourism. Also in this edition, the festival ART&TUR marked difference being the 1st Tourism Festival in the World to include a 3D category.
The Art & Tur festival counts with a great thematic range. May compete for the Festival ART&TUR audiovisual productions of four types:
» Advertising Film up to 3 minutes
» Promotional Film lasting up to 15 minutes
» Reporting or Documentary Film lasting up to 65 minutes
» New and Creative 3D (Stereoscopic)
» Television Programs (Tv Shows)
The Grand Prix of the ART&TUR Festival is the Grand Golden Rooste that awards the best film of the competition.
The best films of each category will join the ART&TUR shortlist (nominations) to be exhibited during the Festival. In each of the 17 thematic categories are attributed the following awards:
» Golden Rooster (Best Film);
» Silver Rooster (2nd Best Film);
» Bronze Rooster (3rd Best Film).
Will be attributed 2 special awards:

AWARD OF THE LUSOPHONY
The Jury will also distinguish with the Golden Rooster 5 technical Awards:
» Best Picture;
» Best Music/Soundtrack;
» Best Script/Screenplay;
» Innovation;
» Best Visual Effects and Post-Production.
Will also be distinguished with the Golden Rooster the following productions:
» Best Documentary;
» Best Promotional Film;
» Best Advertising Film;
» Best TV Program.
