Get ready for a full day of mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, heart-racing workshops, demonstrations, activities, competitions and keynote speakers at The Art Institute of Vancouver’s ARTimation Media Arts Festival. Taking place on March 1, 2008 from 11am to 11pm at the Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver, ARTimation will feature the areas of gaming, animation, visual effects, film, and recording arts – all of which are creative programs offered at The Art Institute’s Burnaby campus.
ARTimation is set to capture and transport the young, keen and talented target audience of high school students and their parents into a world filled with fantastical characters, animated creatures, visual effects, mythical environments, music and lyrics, and cinematic art. The media arts programming throughout the day will allow students to explore the possibility of an education and career in art and design.
With 20,000 square feet of space and 35-feet high ceilings, the expansive venue will be turned into an innovative and interactive area where attendees can spend the day learning about media arts industries through game play, film screenings, production workshops, hands-on drawing tutorials, industry-insider information sessions, and high-profile keynote speakers.
