THE LICHTER FILMFEST FRANKFURT INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATES ITS ANNIVERSARY!
From May 10 to 15, 2022, the LICHTER Filmfest Frankfurt International invites you to its 15th festival edition. In addition to providing a platform for filmmaking from Hesse and the Rhine-Main region, the festival has also made a name for itself throughout Europe with its Frankfurt Positions on the Future of German Film and the accompanying “Future German Film” congress. From May 11 to 13, 2022, the continuation of the congress is planned under European auspices. The international film series and the accompanying program are dedicated to the theme of “Freedom” in this festival year. In addition, the film festival will show the best short and feature-length films from Hesse and Rhine-Main, highlights of young German filmmaking in the Future of German Film section, as well as stories from virtual reality and contemporary video art.
