The 1-Month Filmmaking Program
The program takes place Monday through Friday in the evenings 4 hours each day, this program consists of three different stages: Pre-production, Production and Post-production.
Week 1 Instruction/Pre-Production
You will learn the basics in Writing, Directing, Cinematography & Editing.
As a class you will write a 10 minute script that you will be shooting, you will learn how to work with actors, light and shoot a scene you will also be introduced to editing. You will place casting notices as well as hold auditions. Class time is 4 hours a day, but your home work will be another 3-6 hours a day.
Week 2 Production
This is where you put your skills to the test. You will be shooting the movie that you wrote! Class is 8-12 hrs a day during this time period. For roughly one week you will be on location, using the tools that you acquired during the Instruction and Pre-production phase of the program.
Weeks 3 & 4 Post-Production
This is where you cut all of the footage that you shot using Final Cut Pro. Take a breath, but not a deep one, because at this point the post-production will begin. You will learn how editing with professional editors, sound with professional sound people, voice overs, Final Cut Pro – everything that is involved in the process after the filming is done. The program will finish with you exporting your film to different formats and getting it ready for festivals and distribution.
This program is intense, a lot of fun and very informative. You will also take home a copy of your scene on DVD and if you like you can upload your movie online.
The entire 1-Month Film Program costs $1,500.00
We require everyone that wants to stay in Actors House LA to have a background check.
About the 90-Days Same as Cash Financing
In order to qualify for the 90-Day same as cash financing you would need to have at least $1,650.00 in your bank account when you apply and the following payments would be taken out of your bank account .
The Down payment would be 495.67
Month 1, the 1st payment would be 335.00
Month 2, the 2nd payment would be 335.00
Month 3, the 3rd payment would be 335.00
The Domestic Application Process.
The applicant must complete the following:
1. Complete The Hollywood Film & Acting Academy Application for Admission.
2. Complete The Background Check Form.
3. Pay for the non-refundable $50.00 Background Check.
4. If you are pass the Back Ground check, we will then schedule your interview.
5. If you pass the interview you will then place your deposit for the Tuition. Once you place your deposit you will then be officially accepted into The Hollywood Film & Acting Academy.
