Producer, Pro-G TV

Description

Pro-G Media (?url?www.pro-gmedia.com?/url?) operates Pro-G (?url?www.pro-g.co.uk?/url?), one of the most popular and fastest growing online video games publications in the UK. The Company is soon launching an Internet video streaming service titled ?Pro-G TV?, initially featuring official game videos, such as trailers and gameplay clips, before moving on to video produced in-house. As a result, Pro-G Media wishes to recruit a Producer for the service, to work closely alongside the rest of the team.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing video games publication as a core staff member, with excellent future prospects. The vacancy is perfectly suited to a Film and Media Studies graduate, but applications will be accepted from anyone.

Key Competencies

  • Keen enthusiasm for video games
  • An eye for detail and a creative approach to video production
  • Experience in planning and filming with broadcast quality DV camera equipment
  • Familiar with a variety of shooting techniques
  • Quick at learning and adapting new techniques
  • Adept at video editing and cutting, able to produce
  • professional-looking footage complete with soundtrack, relatively quickly

  • Ability to work to a style guide
  • A basic understanding of lighting and effective audio set-ups
  • Reliable with excellent time management
  • Games Industry experience a plus
  • HD capture/editing experience a plus
  • Film/media studies degree or equivalent a plus

Requirements

  • Relocation to London, heavily subsidised accommodation available
  • Working from South London-based office
  • Flexible to work odd-hours (early mornings, evenings, and weekends) when necessary, e.g. evening console launches, coverage of large events in different time zones
  • Full UK Passport, willing to travel abroad with short notice
  • Driving licence and car a plus?/*?

Starting Salary

?16,000 per annum excluding travel expenses.
