I am currently on the hunt for a short film script, which I aim to fund and shoot later this year/early next year in London, England.

I completed my last short film 'Meaningful Touches' in mid-2006, and you can check it out here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=U2BdTO0wSMQ.

This film played in festivals around the world including the Akira Kurosawa Memorial Short Film Festival in Tokyo, the Where is the Love Short Film Festival in Romania, the Signals Short Film Festival in the UK, and the Wildwood Film Festival in the USA, as well as winning a couple of prizes at the Mountain Shorts Film Festival in Australia (judged by one of our preeminent film reviewers David Stratton). It has now also played on community television on a couple of occasions in Australia, and I had a Q&A screening late last year at Rotoreliefs at the Roxy Bar & Screen in London.

Although I can't offer any payment at this stage, I can commit to keeping you in the loop every step along the way, and to getting something made for your showreel (and mine!) to the best of my ability.

Ideally I'm looking for a script that is logistically not going to be a nightmare, as this will be a fairly low-budget production. Rest assured that I am a committed director and will probably end up doing much of the producing as well to make sure that the film is realised and finished to my own high standards.

I graduated from my BA in Communication (Media & Production) from the University of Technology, Sydney, in September 2005, and have worked in various capacities on different shorts (production assistant on the documentary Big Dreamers, runner/unit assistance on Michael Petroni's Boy's Own Story), as well as helping out with shooting some documentary footage for a charity organisation, and have various contacts in the industry from working in arthouse distribution in Australia as well attending Cannes independently last year and from my recent roles in London at the BFI London Film Festival and currently in international sales.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers,

Sarah
