Welcome to the boards. A few of questions:

Are you paying or is this a "for experience only" gig?
Have you made any movies we could take a look at or is this going to be your first movie?
Assuming you aren't paying and have a limited budget for production would it do any good to send you a period action script.

There are a lot of aspiring w riters here. Help us make an informed decision on what to send.

Title: pop. 1
Log line: The Omega Man meets Dawn Of The Dead.
?The Meek Shall NOT Inherit The Earth!?
82 pages.
WGA No.: 1123247

What would you do if a world wide plague turned every man, woman, and child, EXCEPT FOR YOU, into mindless, cannibalistic zombies?
What would you do if you were completely immune to the plague, and had to stand helplessly by and watch civilization crumble and disappear around you in a matter of days?

What would you do if you found a place of hope in this lonely wasteland, only to discover that there are some things more horrible than the living dead?

This is the terrifying, hopeless world Luke James must live in. Through my screenplay titled, ?pop. 1?, you will experience the journey of Luke James, who may be the last man alive in a world of the living dead.

As Luke James wanders from city to city looking for other survivors, we see a dead world that offers him no hope. When he finds a maximum security prison that is populated by the last holdouts of mankind, he believes he has found an oasis of life. But this is no sanctuary. The prisons occupants are dominated by a power crazy warden and his fanatical guards who worship him as their Saviour, and they will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Think 2004's Dawn Of The Dead. Cost= $28 mil., Ticket Sales= $58 mil., and that doesn't include DVD sales, pay per view, overseas sales, or premium cable.

The completed screenplay is available upon request. Thank you for your generous time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cordially:

William J. Jenkins

Thank you for your welcome.
In terms of payment: yes we are willing to pay for the right script of course. If its a new writer then maybe not for the 1st script. Let's just play by ear.

Two films have been made by the director/producer that I am replying for.

Right now we are working on a documentry but we would like to get the ball rolling on more then one film. We would like to read scripts and contact - make a connection - with the writers.
We don't just want to pay for a script and move on - we would like to work with the writer but 1st we need to see scripts ?:D?

I have 7 completed scripts. Such as:

Pain Cage (thriller) - After they have imprisoned her into the phantom copy of our world, her life has turned into never-ending consecution of pain and anguish. She?s a young woman and she knows neither who they are nor where she is and how to get out.

Slightly Dead (black comedy) - After the family moves into the big house inherited from a violently killed grandma, it turns out that even their cognate bonds won?t stop each of them from playing the wicked game against each other; the game which gives eternal youth for a winner but as well demands the blood-stained sacrifices.

Hi,
I am a produced screenwriter whose female, buddy road script, BALD, may interest you. Think THELMA AND LOUISE meets TRANSAMERICA. Of the 23 feature-length scripts I?ve written (2 produced, 2 in preproduction, 3 others under option), I think BALD is my strongest effort yet. I?m just looking for the right production company to do the material justice. The synopsis for BALD, my bio and credits follow. I look forward to your requesting the script. If so, kindly tell me more about yourself, your company and its credits. And please provide me with your mailing address.

Warmest wishes,

Richard A. Lasser

BALD

DEBBIE MERRIWETHER, 20s, is a beautiful, demure loner whose best friends are her goldfish and houseplants. She keeps books for outwardly successful, inwardly troubled JOAN MUIR, 40s, an Upper East Side wig supplier to hundreds of grateful cancer victims. When Joan is in meltdown facing an IRS audit that could bankrupt her and send her to prison, she pleads with Debbie to doctor her books. Debbie reluctantly agrees, and gets Joan off the hook. Soon afterward, Debbie is diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. When she learns her boss was cheating her customers as well as the IRS, she forces a resistant Joan to drive her to Los Angeles. Before she dies, Debbie must reconcile with her estranged brother, PATRICK, 20s whom she threw out of the house when, as a teenager, he came out as gay. Patrick, a Hollywood film studio hairdresser and star of his gay soccer team, is trapped in a bad relationship ? but it?s the only relationship he has. As they cross the country, Debbie?s condition worsens, but she refuses to go to a hospital. Joan and Debbie?s bizarre cross-country odyssey culminates in Debbie demanding honesty from Joan. And she gets it. Joan reveals her breasts, mutilated by a botched mastectomy which has left her torn between her desire to help her clients and jealousy over the better treatment they got. Through her revelation, Joan rediscovers the ability to feel and Debbie regains will to live. The only question is, will Debbie make it to Patrick in time to ask his forgiveness. Sometimes the journey is the destination.

I have 3 feature screenplays available

The Amulet

Derek Adams is a PI with plenty of time on his hands. Until the Bogart Case walks in. A priceless family heirloom has been stolen and everyone in town is looking for it. It was supposed to be an easy case, fast money. But pretty soon Derek is up to his armpits in bodies, femme fatales and tentacles. The city's dark side has him.
And it doesn't want to let go!

"The Amulet", is 96 page B-movie noir-meets-monster tale revolving around a Bogart buff and the MacGuffin of an ancient amulet of power that has ganglords in a frenzy trying to locate it to bring back the elder gods. The script is based on my novel "The Midnight Eye Files: The Amulet", which was published in September 2005 by Black Death Books in the USA.

__________________________________________________________________

Sirens

At first it's a simple lost son case, but for PI Derek Adams things turn quickly to the twilight zone. Soon he's on a remote island and up to his hips in mer-women, shape changers and ancient fisher cults.
Running back to the city doesn't help; there's mayhem on the streets.
An ancient god is waking up, and only blood will stop him.

"Sirens" is 97 pages, a B-movie monster tale revolving around a Bogart buff and the MacGuffin of the curse of a race of mer-women. The script is based on my novel "The Midnight Eye Files: Sirens", which will be published in 2007 by Black Death Books in the USA.

____________________________________________________________________

Island Life

An isolated island is no place to be alone when mutant beasts roam in the fog. A scientist and two lighthouse keepers do battle against a tribe of mutated creatures on their isolated island. But everyone else they know is either dead or missing, and when night comes, and the fog rolls in, the fun begins in earnest.

"Island Life" is 90 pages, a monster movie in the vein of ?Dog Soldiers? and "Descent". The script is based on my novel, Island Life, published in the USA in 2001 by Barclay Books.

_________________________________________________________________

All scripts are complete and available in Final Draft, pdf, Word or txt formats. Treatments of all 3 are also available.

I am a Scottish author, with five novels published in the States and three more coming in 2006/7, all in the independent horror press. (Most of my novels are available for option, along with over 150 short stories.)

My work has appeared in the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Greece, Saudi Arabia and India, and my first screenplay sale, a ten minute ghost story, is currently in production with Capital Media Arts in New York.

I have also got several works currently on option. (Two shorts, and a supernatural thriller feature)

Hi

I have a comedy script which I am just looking for an agent to represent.

A short synopsis is that it is very loosely based on a pub ran by three friends (location could be anywhere) and each episode (only one episode so far put together but enough material mounted for many more) would start at that pub but then the viewers would be made to follow a series of random events leading from that point.

For example; the bar staff may talk about one of their customers which cue?s a flashback sketch, then when that finishes the camera might follow the character leaving the bar walking into another scenario or passing by something else happening which leads to another sketch and so on and on. Each episode would conclude with the series of witty and zany random events leading back to where the episode started, at the pub with the three friends.

If you are interested then please let me know, you can email me at eshopmates?hotmail.co.uk and I will forward it on

Best regards

Scott
