At the moment, I have a $10,000 budget and am getting ready to shoot my first movie. The film budget, at the moment, is going to be completely spent on filming equipment, locations, wardrobe, and other things that are not crew related. Obviously, this means that any work actors, crew, and others do would be completely on a volunteer basis, so if this seems rediculous to you, please stop reading now.
At the moment, I have my co-screenwriter(who will also be an executive producer with myself) and a few other friends and people I have met in college who are wanting to help in any capacity they can fill(acting, lighting, etc...).
The premise/screenplay is being handled a bit differently than one would expect(as it is mainly a bunch of set pieces that have actions for the actors, but rarely much, if any dialogue, since the entire film is based on the premise that what is going on is real and not scripted).
A lot of rehearsal, prep-work, and getting to know one another will be needed, so there will be quite a bit of time, at least for anyone interested in the acting side of things. People good with impromtu acting would especially be needed. The film would best be described as a dramedy. The majority of the film will be shot over a 3-5 day time span and the rest can be done as needed and accomodations would obviously be taken care of for anyone who would have to travel to take part.
The shooting of some of the film will take place over the summer and the main 3-5 day shoot will take place most likely in August of this year. Most of the main and supporting actors would need to be in their 20's, but dont let that stop you from talking to me as nothing in the script is completely nailed down and my co-screenwriter and I are still nailing out details and whatnot and changing things here and there.
