Hi there,
I represent a group of mothers separated from their children through adoption. We are beginning to seek inquiries from documentary filmmakers who might be interested in collaborating on a project.
The focus will be the storiesand experiences of mothers who either were forced or choose to relinquish a child after Roe vs Wade circa 1973. Either open adoption, traditional closed, reunited, or still lost. We will be able to provide the mothers to interview, backround research and information, and hopefully, in time, some funding.

Influenced by Ann Flessler's "The Girls Who Went Away", this project is to continue what was started by the oral histories of moms pre Roe vs. Wade, the continuation of the first person stories, the next generation. The overall thought is to expose the wrong doings, corruption and inhuman treatments currently occuring in the name of the adoption industry. The end result is bound to be extremely moving, very powerful, and tear jerking simply due to the subject matter.

We are not necessarily looking for someone with tons of experience. The final product may be raw, jerky, rough, etc. which would also pertain to the subject matter. There will be room for lots of creative input in regards to filming, stock footage, imagery, backround music, lighting, editing, etc. The main concern is finding someone willing to tell a story, have sensitivity to the subject matter, and be willing to take a chance. These are stories that need to be told. It would be excellent material for a final film school project, etc.

Please contact me for further discussion. I can be reached at ImeClaud2003?yahoo.com. And please feel free to pass on to any interested parties.

Claud
