A Toronto based independent production company working in association with a major US feature film distributor and high profile Executive Producer of many Hollywood films, requires an experienced business and production professional specializing in film financing for an upcoming feature film to be produced in 2006/2007.
You will assist the Producer with securing the remaining half of the financing required for production through equity financing, private investors and any other financing sources that may be needed to complete the financing. In addition, you will also be involved in all aspects of the production as a Co-Producer on the film.
Qualifications:
* Must have experience with securing financing through private investors and/or other sources of equity only film financing.
* Must have resource network of financial contacts within the film industry or have the ability to locate private investors and other equity financing sources through your experience in film financing.
* Extensive experience with creating business plans for potential investors/financial sources.
* Knowledge and experience with budgeting, business affairs, tax credits, production and distribution.
* General legal knowledge within the film industry.
