Hey guys... Just needed someone to point me in the right direction. I'm new to the United States (Florida to be precise) and looking for work as an Assistant Director. I have reasonable industry experience- worked on 2 feature films in India, directed a couple of short films in film school (New Zealand) and am mostly open to anything that'll gain me a foothold.

Would appreciate if I could get some advice from those who are active professionals in terms of how things work in the industry here, people I could approach and resources that could keep me abreast of latest developments.

My partner and I are looking at moving either to New York or Los Angeles. Any votes as to what would be the better choice?
